Contract Cleaning for Plastics & Extrusion Tooling

Your Tools, Our Cleaning Process.

Send us your polymer-contaminated tooling for professional off-site thermal cleaning. We process compatible injection molding and extrusion components to remove baked-on resin buildup without requiring your facility to purchase or operate its own burn-off oven.

Contract Tool Cleaning Services

Avoid the upfront cost of purchasing and installing new machinery with off-site burn-off oven cleaning for injection molding and extrusion tooling.

No Capital Equipment Investment

Access professional thermal cleaning without purchasing machinery, modifying your facility or training employees to operate a new system.

We Remove Baked-On Polymer

Thermal cleaning breaks down hardened resin and organic residue with less intensive manual cleaning.

Plastics-Focused Applications

Built for the tooling used in injection molding, plastic extrusion and related manufacturing processes.

Flexible Cleaning Capacity

Outsource recurring loads, occasional difficult tools or excess work beyond your in-house capacity.

FAQ: Burn-Off Oven Systems, Tool Cleaning Services, & More

Get practical answers about thermal cleaning equipment, system selection, tooling compatibility and contract cleaning for plastic-processing components.

What plastic-processing tools can be cleaned in a burn-off oven?

Burn-off ovens can be used to remove baked-on polymer and other organic residue from compatible metal tooling. Common applications include injection molding screws, extrusion screws, dies, nozzle tips, hot runner components, hot halves, spin packs and other heat-tolerant production tooling.

Suitability should always be confirmed based on the component’s dimensions, construction, coatings, temperature limitations and any attached heat-sensitive parts.

Which burn-off oven series is right for our operation?

The ESC Series is the most focused option for smaller injection molding and extrusion screws. The EB Series provides more flexibility for mixed loads such as nozzle tips, small hot runner components, dies and general tooling. The EIG Series is intended for larger, heavier assemblies and higher-capacity cleaning requirements.

The best choice depends on your largest load dimensions, total load weight, resin types, cleaning frequency and required turnaround time.

Can thermal cleaning damage screws, dies or hot runner components?

A properly specified and controlled thermal-cleaning cycle is designed to remove organic residue from compatible metal tooling without relying on aggressive mechanical cleaning. However, every component should be reviewed before processing.

Seals, wiring, heaters, insulation, electronic components, sensitive coatings and other heat-vulnerable materials may need to be removed before the tool enters the oven. Avoid making an unrestricted “will never damage tooling” claim anywhere on the site.

Should we purchase an oven or use contract tool cleaning?

Purchasing a burn-off oven can make sense when tooling is cleaned frequently and your facility would benefit from greater control over scheduling and turnaround. Contract cleaning may be more practical when cleaning volume is irregular, capital investment is not yet justified or you want to evaluate thermal cleaning before purchasing equipment.

We can review your tooling, cleaning frequency and production requirements to help you compare both options.
